Privacy.
We collect two things: enquiries from businesses, and signups from people joining a campaign. We use each one for that purpose and nothing else.

If you're a business getting in touch
When you fill in the Start form we collect what you enter: business name, your name, email address, phone number if you give one, business category, what you're trying to improve, and the optional number of customers you enter.
We use it to reply to you about a campaign. Nothing else. We don't add you to a list and we don't send you marketing you didn't ask for.
If you're signing up for a campaign
When you join a campaign we collect your name, your email address, your phone number if you choose to give one, and which campaign you signed up for. We also record whether you completed the campaign.
We use it to run the campaign: to send you your campaign code, to contact you about that campaign if we need to, and to report back to the business.
The business does not receive your name, email address or phone number. The business receives only the information it needs to confirm your participation and run the campaign. We report numbers to them, not people.
You have to agree to this to sign up, because without it there's no way to send you a code or run the campaign. If you'd rather not, don't sign up. Nothing else on this site asks for your details.
Hearing from us about future campaigns
There's a separate, optional box at signup for future campaign emails. It is never ticked for you, and leaving it unticked has no effect on taking part.
If you do tick it, we may email you about later Helpwandit campaigns near you. Every one of those emails will say who it's from, how to reach us, and how to stop. You can also email mario@helpwandit.com at any time and we'll take you off, at no cost and without asking why.
What we don't do
No cookies. No advertising or tracking pixels. No accounts. We don't build a profile of you and we don't track you across other websites. We don't sell, rent or trade anyone's information.
Our hosting provider counts page requests from its own server records, so we can see how many people visit. That counting uses no cookies, doesn't follow you to other sites, and doesn't identify you.
The typefaces on this site are loaded from Google Fonts, which means Google receives your IP address when a page loads.
Who else can see it
A small number of service providers process information on our behalf:
- Our hosting provider, which serves the pages and receives what you send through either form
- Our email provider, which handles our email
- Google Fonts, which serves the typefaces
Some of these providers may store or process information on servers outside Canada, which means it can be subject to the laws of those countries. Beyond these providers, and the information shared with the business as described above, we don't share your information with anyone unless we're legally required to.
How long we keep it
Business enquiries: up to 24 months, then deleted. If you become a customer we keep what we need for as long as we're working together, and for as long as Canadian tax and business records rules require.
Campaign signups: up to 24 months after the campaign ends, then deleted. If you opted in to future campaign emails, we keep your email address until you unsubscribe.
Your choices
You can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email mario@helpwandit.com and we'll do it. There's no form and no process to go through.
You can also complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada if you think we've handled your information badly.
Age
Campaign signups are for people aged 16 and over. If you believe we hold information about someone younger, email us and we'll delete it.
Security
Information you send through either form travels over an encrypted connection and is stored with our hosting provider. No system is perfectly secure, and we're not going to claim otherwise.
Changes
If this policy changes, we'll update the date at the top of this page.
